Singlesnet was launched in 1989 and claims to have 13 million registered
users. It is a large online dating site with members world wide
but the vast majority are from the USA. The site is well laid out
and has all the basic features neaded for you to meet and chat to
other singles
Signing Up to Singlesnet
I have to say I found signing up for a free profile on Singlesnet
rather tedious and confusing. It is time consuming answering all
the check box questions and would have been much better if some
of the detailed information could have been left until later. There
is also a very big problem for none USA members. For example when
asked questions like 'Did you go to college?' if you answer yes
you are then asked what State it was in with the option to select
from a drop down box of USA States. This is also clear when asked
where you live. I was given a very long list of UK towns to choose
from but after trawling through them I found my Town was not there.
Free Membership on Singlesnet
First impressions on browsing singlesnet after registering is how
sparse it seems. The search options are very limited. You can search
by selecting members in your area or search by region (this means
England - Ireland - Scotland - Wales not Counties or even North
South etc) On choosing search for members in my area I found the
first member was almost 200 miles away, and the age ranges where
anything from 20 - 99.

Singlesnet Conclusion
All in all I have to say I was disappointed with Singlesnet. It
is a very USA targeted site and does not cater well for members
from other Countries. Also for such a large dating site it lacks
features like live chat, video and even decent search functions.
I personally wouldn't recommend it for anyone outside the USA even
with its good points like free to reply to emails
