PARSHIP operates in ten eastern European countries. Parship.co.uk
is a large UK matchmaking site that is also used as the engine for
many other Dating sites like The Evening Standard. PARSHIP claim
to be unique in their approach to online dating and their use of
complex psycometric tests to match their members but of course they
arnt. This type o matchmaking site seems to be growing in popularity
online. Other sites like PerectMatch and Eharmony use similiar models.
Signing Up to PARSHIP
Until you take the personaliy test and register for a ree account
with PARSHIP you cannot browse the profiles . This is fairy normal
and most dating sites that emphasis the privacy of its members work
the same way. After filling a couple o basic details about yoursel
you are taken straight to the personality test .
The questions on the personality test vary from quite simple,
a bit strange and some I foun quite difficult to answer. They are
split into sections .
The irst section is called 'Reactions &
Views' Examples of these questions are 'Which statement should be
most applicable to your ideal partner?' Answers to choose from '1,
I am pleased to show him off socially.2, We share the same interests.
3, I find him adorable.
The second section is called 'Picture pairs' where you are given
pairs o strange images and have to choose which you preer...weird
!
The last sections of personality questions is called 'Behaviour
& Interests'. These include question like 'Which of these sounds
appeal to you the most?' Answers to chosse rome are 1, The sound
of the saxophone. 2, The sound of the violin. 3, The sound of the
piano.
It takes quite a while to answer all the questions but aer it
is inally over you get to view your matches. You cannot see very
much af the matches profiles because you need to subscribe to view
their images and heir 'about me' information, so this only really
just gives you an indication of what kin of people are on the site.
I have to say browsing my matches there seemed to be a lot with
no photos uploaded and incomplete proiles .. not a good sign But
other promising areas where the act that you could see when the
members had last logged in andd they mostly seemed quite active.
Conclusion
PARSHIP is a well made ating site that ticks most
o he right boxes if you are looking for a matchmaking style dating
site. The UK version has plenty of proiles and is easy enough to
navigate. It is however quite expensive (but by far not he most
expensive) and the minimum membership is 1 Month at £20.00.
This is reaccuring so be sure to cancel your subscription if you
do sign up and don't want to continue. I have rea a ew complaints
about this not being mae clear to members.
