They offer services for Brides and Men seeking foreign brides from countries like Russia and other former USSR countries, Asian woman eg Filipino women & Thai Brides, Latin brides, eg Brazilian and Columbian woman. The service is completely free for the ladies wishing to register and for men there are various paid membership options.

I found registering for Brides4U was not as straight forward as it could have been. I don't know if it was me who was having a dumb moment but it took me a little while to find the link to the the register page. I was also a little put off by the ads for other dating sites scattered around the site.

There are very little details you need to fill in to become a gentleman member of Brides4U. Basically all that they want to know is your name address and telephone number. Here is where another thing struck me as very annoying. There is a tick box just above the submitt button when adding your details that askes if you want to join theBrides4U mailing list. I intentionally left this unticked but noted that as I clicked the submitt button miraculously a tick apeared in the box!

Once logged into brides4U there does not seem to be anywhere for men to add further details about themselves. Don't the potential brides want to know more about the men ? Looking at the details for brides registeration it seems that they cannot make contact with men, hense no need for mens profiles. This seems rather unbalanced to me and forces men to pay to make initual contact.

Searching and browsing the Brides4U web site is easy enough and the database of ladies profiles seems pretty full. There seems to be more profiles of ladies from Russia and former USSR countries than any where else. When you click on a prifile you like it is added to your list and you can view the profile. The ladies profiles are restricted, you have to pay to read the complete profile or make contact, but there is enough information and images to get a good idea of the lady.

If you choose to make contact with one of the 'brides' you have two options. You can either purchase the girls 'address'. Basically all this means is that you can make contact with the girl through the web site. Alternatively you can take out a monthly subscription and make contact with as many girls as you like.

There is also details on the Brides4U about organised tours run by the company and general information about foreign brides, romance and their cultures. They do not seem to offer a translation service which could definatly be a problem.

Conclusion

Brides4U seems to me to have quite a few features lacking, and a few elements that leave me feeling a little unsure in general. It would be greatly improved if men were allowed to put up for profiles and the ladies were encouraged to make initial contact sometimes to men they were interested in. More services like translation and perhaps live help would give more user confidence. I did not like the advertisments dotted around the site. This is expected on free sites to help pay hosting fees and costs but not on a site that is charging men £7.00 per contact.
