The trouble with match.com
is that it\\\'s the most high profile brand. That means you get
everyone and anyone, so trying to find people you are compatible
with becomes like finding a needle in a haystack. Also many women
on there do not take it seriously; they will create profiles and
return your winks, but they never reply to emails because they haven\\\'t
subscribed. There is no way to tell if someone is a subscriber or
not.
Also, the user interface is very clunky - especially the messaging
system, it is awful. Once I make contact with someone, I quickly
switch to regular email.
My biggest gripe with match is a personal one - I\\\'ve been using
it, off and on, for over a year, and still no luck! This is compared
to Guardian Soulmates and Singles365, where I have had three affairs
with women that I met on those sites.
None so far with match, although I do tend to get more dates with
it compared to the Guardian.
It\\\'s pretty depressing to have match as the #1 dating site,
but I guess you have to make do with what\\\'s available

I used Match.com UK and am totally disappointed.
The problems I encountered are as follows:
Despite sending loads of mails I nearly never got a reply. This
is really frustrating. On the law of averages I can\\\'t believe
that hardly any of the women I wrote to replied. I tend to think
that either the mails were not getting delivered or they were not
able to reply, in which case why present them to me? Problem two
was the amount of \\\'Winks\\\' I got. There was an improbable amount
of \\\'Winks\\\' in the beginning and all from people in the States,
I live in the UK, and none of them had seen my profile. How can
anyone take this as serious? My final bone to pick is the \\\'New
Matches\\\'. Every day Match.com offers you 5 new matches, these
were completely incompatible with my profile, often too far away
to be realistic and when I wrote to the few that I found attractive
I NEVER got a reply. On top of that I even got a few men offered
to me, I think someone was having a bit of fun at my expense. My
advice is don\\\'t waste your money on this site like I did.
