I used makeFriendsOnline because I had moved house and didn't really
know anyone in the area. I found the chatrooms great fun and have
to admit to spending more time in them than I should have. the best
thing I found was that in general the other people on the site were
really friendly and actively polite. I have made a lot of friends
both online and others I have actually met in person. I have even
been over to Sweden on a visit to a great person I first met on
MakeFriendsOnline

The people this site are fantastic. It really is good fun, friendly
and relaxed. I thought at first that online dating was for geeks
and trainspotters but this site rocks. It is really so easy to make
friends and guess what LOVE !!!! I went on some of the meets and
there was hardly an anorak in sight. there is no particular type
or age group. only fault I could find was the chatrooms can get
a bit slow at times if a load of people are logged on.

this is a really good site if you want more than the usual cattle
market style dating site. I really enjoyed using make friendsOnline,
shame its not free though

Initially MFO was an excellent site until it changed hands in November
2009. Since then the new owners have been dictatorial, intimidatory
and ruthless about the way in which they have run the site, removing
members for the most trivial of reasons and then offering to reinstate
them for a very inflated membership fee. They read the private mails
between members and do not interact with the members. I was a member
for six years but would recomend people to not join the site as
it has become now

Your details on this site are now out of date. Membership per annum
is £144, rising to £168 if you want the premium plus
package. So from £59.95 to £168? Total ripoff and thr
new owners are banning all the old members and then asking them
back at the high price - do they think we are all stupid? Now the
new-nonpaying members come from all over the world and can chat
to who they like. Previously they had to be members before chatting
to anyone. I would honestly now rate at zero as its not a hppy place
to be anymore.
